One time Shins full time esque Fruit Bats aka Eric D. Johnson will be at the Concert Hall in Toronto July 21 2026 brining with him his new album The Landfill. For us those them in the North Daniel Romano/Rural Alberta Advantage and more southerly there’s a Kurt Vile/ Ty Segall side hovering. The folk rock sound wraps around the Fruit Bats but something more psych-country at play on this album with crunchy space guitar tentacles and catherine wheel piano. The album drops Jun 12.
