The New Pornographers share 'Pure Sticker Shock', new album due Mar 27

As a supergroup it falls that sometimes some members are more super than others to some fans than others so there are faves involved: Destroyer, Neko Case in my case but the New Pornographers are a band as well as a supergroup, a supergroup of folks who in dealing with the conviction of former drummer Joseph Seiders on possession of child pornography, rally as one, and isn’t that a band after all. It speaks to the gel of these stars in their own right that a new album under the same name is due Mar 27 2026 titled ‘The Former Site of”.

A new single ‘Pure Sticker Shock’ is available, a slow rumble with the line ‘the heart is always here, you forget it’s beating, the gift you don’t remember giving”.

The New Pornographers are from that fab era of Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, when a group of pals turned inwards to create something that resonate outwards for ever?, for eons?, for sometime?, but it did at that time, enough at least that here we are riding it out.
