Matt Berninger of The National will release his debut sole album, ‘Serpentine Prison’ on Oct 16 2020. The album will be on Book records/ Concord records. The first singe is “One More Second.” There’s a beauty tippy-tapp organ break provided by the legendary Booker T Jones, who also is the album producer.

Had my hair did, the hairdresser said to me when done, well that should last the rest of the decade. Only struck me then where we are at. Time has broken down for me into smaller and smaller chunks, I think I live a decade in a day. One time I had one job for 25 years and now I have twenty five different jobs in a year. We stay busy, time flies, years roll in, decades are marked but are you marking the passing of each moment , the advent of a new moment, with the same celebrations. Happy New Moment.

I took a stroll to the lake today, the water is high, the waves were loud, the lake seemed more like an ocean but I thought Yr Not The Ocean, the sun was low and there was the feeling of summer’s end. But it is not an end, it is a beginning, it is always a beginning.

The visual and lyrical message about oceans and environment within Les Stroud's new single "One Giant Farm" is disturbing and compelling. No one with a heart can remain complacent after viewing it. Les Stroud will never be accused of pulling punches when it comes to the reality of what we are doing to our planet and the creatures that inhabit it.

Well the magnolias are out on my neighbour’s tree so there’s that to celebrate on this rather chill evening, I hope those flowers survive. But also lets celebrate St. Lucia, they have an acoustic EP available and will be touring a stripped down intimate set. Charlotte Cornfield ( a fave around here) also drops in.
