Jory Nash releases first track from 'The Light Still Shines on the Main'

Will McGuirk August 20, 2025

By Will McGuirk
One man, one family but one with community - after a mental health breakdown, financial issues, Covid, and cancer the music has carried Jory Nash and his family back with this new album and a song that wells tears like waves swell off Cobourg beach.

“This song, and this album, are about coming through the darkness,” says Nash. “It’s about hope, resilience, and finding beauty in new beginnings.”

Enough said I think, I know this beach, I know this light, I know this plight. The curious strength of small songs to move one forward.
