Just took an early evening break, blanket quiet house and put this new EP ‘BAPTIZED II’ by the Montreal based Jojo Worthington on. Its layered and heavy into production, but not heavy heavy, but wafer thin sonic layers like sheets billow and are placed around the core which stays crystal clear - touchstones would be Kate Bush and Feist. It follows on from ‘BAPTIZED I’ and is part of a trilogy which will culminate in an album titled ‘Armour of God’. The track ‘Dig A Bone’ features JoJo’s mum, who taught her harp, on a special harp piece Jojo wrote for her mum. So thats a nice extra layer to it all. Contemplative November evening soundtrack.
