Guess it says something about taking those old records off the shelf that a B.C kat aged 25 (!!!) can put out an album that chugs like he’s running back to Saskatoon and not ‘Going to Toronto’ which is the title of the latest single from that 25 year old B.C. kat Garrett T. Willie - like that’s a name that should be interviewed by a young Cameron Crowe.
Kat Willie has a new album ‘Bill’s Cafe’ out, its named for his grandad’s pool hall in Alert Bay, in the aforementioned British Columbia. Kat’s single has Sheepdogs wooly bearded vibes. Good stuff, it reminds one that the back in the day old soul blues and rock tradition still has legs and folks like GTDoubleU who know how to use ‘em.
