Seriously and righteously pissed off four piece from VANcity PISS are set to release their debut album ‘you made me / skin on linen’ on Oct 30 2026 on Paper Bag in Canada and Sub Pop worldwide. The first single ‘time loop at hot slit’ picks up the mic drop of Peaches and L7 and tackles girlhood sexualization with a video filmed at the now closed DIY space Take Yr Time Back in Vancouver

Lead vox Taylor Zantingh says in the PR “Our local scene has been singing this song with us for two years!! It's very exciting to finally share it with the world, but no matter where it ends up, it will always belong to the femmes, queers, and weirdos in the Vancouver underground community <3”

And interestingly the band set up a BOGO on their LP with the hope folks will donate the extra discounted copy to safe spaces elsewhere so other femmes, queers, and weirdos can find their folx.

“The purpose of this project is to increase the accessibility of physical copies of the record, but I also hope it will encourage anyone who enjoys our music to connect with other radicals in their communities! It is more important than ever to lean into offline, autonomous social spaces. We cannot build a real movement by communicating with tools built and controlled by the powers we aim to challenge!”

PISS will be on a tour as is the way and making a stop at the Toronto Second Summer Fest Sept 25 and also back in TO opening for Gilla Band, the pro-noise Irish outfit which were inspirations for Fontaines DC, at Lee’s Palace Oct 20. So rad on all counts.
