Guess who named their album ‘Bannatyne’, no not ‘So Long Bannatyne’ that was the Guess Who, nope singer/songwriter and in demand guitarist Ariel Posen named his album ‘Bannatyne’, same Winnipeg avenue close to his heart, and home at one time to Neil Young as well as obv Bachman, Cummings & Co, so long music history on the street. Posen’s ‘Bannatyne’ album features a collab with Dallas Green and this ‘ere one with Kathleen Edwards “More Me With You’. Fine company to be keeping but not unusual for Ariel who also played with John Mayer and Tom Jones plus he was guitar player in the Bros Landreth before saying so long and hello solo. He has a string of dates in Ontario and closest for us here in the Slowcity is May 9 at the TD Music Hall.
