WINTER OF 49 – Paintings by Ron Lambert opens at Adelaide House Jan 26

Will McGuirk January 8, 2019

Seventy years ago, in January 1949, Painters 11 member, Alexandra Luke, hosted an art show at Adelaide House in Oshawa. This was one of the first abstract art shows in Canada and featured Luke and her protege Ron Lambert. To celebrate this platinum anniversary Lambert is presenting his paintings from that exhibition once again. Slowcity.ca had a chance to chat with Ron sometime ago when his first show of new works in decades was presented at the Kent Farndale Gallery.

Adelaide House is located at 33 McGrigor Street. The show is open 1 - 4 p.m. Jan 26/27 2019. The opening reception is 2 p.m. on the Saturday.
