Oshawa-based duo Equal will debut their EP ‘For You’ at the RIvoli Thursday Aug 26 2022. Equal are two sisters, Chelsea and Saleen Nolan, who have been on the harmony road since they were old enough to talk. Their bedroom pop is built on an intuitive weaving around each other’s voices and a strong sense of melody. This bond plays out too on the stage as they bop and hop around and lean into each other. Musical touchstones could be Taylor Swift and First Aid Kit, but as these two grew up literally in Oshawa’s music scene, they would be as aware of, if not more so than local success acts Dizzy and fellow sister act Lennon and Maisy. Opening for Equal will be another Oshawa popster Jenna Doe.
