One of the Province’s newest music festivals returns once again and as a love of the fests I can say this is good news indeed. Four Winds Music Fest takes place north of the Town of Durham, ON ( thats not our Durham Region btw) Friday July 13 through to Sunday July 13 2025 at Riverstone Retreat, which is 136 acres of beauty outdoors.
And its a beauty of a line-up too, and while this not our Durham (its the one on the west side of T.O.) there are some local connections to our Durham, (the one on the east side of T.O.); The Strumbellas headline Saturday, (Dave is a Shwakat), our pal indie rocker and fab performer Skye Wallace is on Friday, My Son the Hurricane is playing too on Saturday and features our pal Sarah Fazackerley, and another pal and frequent performer in the Shwarock City, Stephen Stanley is in the line-up as is Melissa Payne of Peterborough with B. Knox, and there’s also the enigmatic and thoughtful Weather Station, and the all caps country of ONTARIANS, (we have their record at the shop I work in) plus so many more in the. . . can we call it Canadiana strain of music makers, so there a real nice community vibe to the line-up and as this is only the third year for the festival it looks like vibe is important and if so then maybe its time to add Four Winds to the annual must attend list which already includes Mariposa, River & Sky, and of course Hillside.
There’s also obv food, beverage, activities and camping options. So for all the deets and ticket info go check out here-> Four Winds Music Fest
