While we are waiting for new Tegan & Sara or Serena Ryder tunes this new track ’Wisest Fool’ from Kaeley Jade will tie us over, maybe even eclipse them. It’s subtle but anthemic, one of those shoulder swirling dizzy body tracks. Good stuff and the track features Hill Kourkoutis on production as well as electric guitar, keys, bass synth, tambourine, PLUS background vocals! Kaeley Jade is an Edmonton-based Métis alt-folk singer/songwriter marrying tradition with more modern moves; The video for example was inspired by The Princess Bride film. Jade has a new album Great Unknown dropping April so maybe she won’t be that unknown for much longer. Those in our local area can see Jade at the Second Wedge brewery in Uxbridge Feb 28 2026.
