Jont releases "The One I've Never Met Who I Long For", new album due May

Will McGuirk January 21, 2026

By Will McGuirk

Randomly some years back Jont was in Oshawa, I think for a show, of course it would be for a show but I can’t recall where, anyway we met, and he had met Allen Ginsberg so thats a plus for sure, then he said he needed a place to stay so we agreed he could stay over at the gallery I was running. He might have even been playing the gallery, I can’t recall. But it had a couch. So I left him the key and he slept, got up and left the key at my pal’s coffee shop. I gave him the key because he had a genuine hippie honest sort of vibe to him, some very spiritual vibes about him, anyway good kat and he’s on the East Coast now still making tunes and this is his latest, a kinda hippie Elvis Costello vibe to it. He has an album due May 2026, titled ‘Walk Right Through’.
