The icy clear vox of Jenn Grant melts some on this new track, a tribute to her late mom who was a fan of Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy.
"This is the story of when we met Jim Cuddy at the JUNOs back in 2012. She was wearing a dress that we'd picked out together. It was actually chosen not only for its colour and fabric but because it also helped to conceal the swelling in her stomach and liver from the metastatic breast cancer.” Grant says in the PR.
Co-written with Ken Yates, the track was recorded live off the floor at Jenn's home studio in Lake Echo, NS, with co-producers Daniel Ledwell and Joshua Van Tassel, who also played keys and drums, alongside Kyle Cunjak (bass), Christine Bougie (guitar), and Kim Harris (backing vocals).
