Great Lake Swimmers have announced tour dates to go with their new album ‘Caught Light’ and while Oshawa is not on the list which covers most of S.Ont plus Montreal we can here in the Shwa take some pride knowing that the album was recorded in the Ganaraska Forest just east of us. Producer Darcy Yates and engineer Jimmy Bowskill were brought in to help GLS founder and songwriter Tony Dekker to get the Gordon Lightfoot in a cozy sweater sound he wanted, oh you know what it is, the sound of teak and cigarettes at sundown. And no better place that that lovely rural stretch between Peterborough and Port Hope to get it. Ask Greg Keelor.
Anyway pity no dates in Oshawa but tour is as follows:
Thursday, March 26 - Kingston, ON - Broom Factory
Friday, March 27 - London, ON - Aeolian Hall
Wednesday, April 8 - Gormley, ON - Harmony Hall
Thursday, April 9 - Galt, ON - Farm League Brewing
Friday, April 10 - Toronto, ON - The Great Hall
Saturday, April 11 - Highgate, ON - Mary Webb Centre
Thursday, April 16 - Hamilton, ON - The Westdale
Friday, April 17 - Montreal, QC - L’Esco
Saturday, April 18 - Ottawa, ON - The Bronson
