David Lowery wrote a song called "Take The Skinheads Bowling", among many others. He was in bands Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven, and had hits in the early days of what is now termed Alternative Music. He is writing an autobiography, one song, one album at a time. It’s a marvelous idea. Lowry didn’t want to have to learn a new skill to write to book, so he still writes to song. Brilliant. A new 28 track 3 LP album, he’s had an interesting long life obv, is coming May 20 2025 on Cooking Vinyl. It’s called ‘Fathers, Sons, and Brothers’, and is comprised of previous works, ‘In the Shadow of the Bull’, ‘Leaving Key Member Clause’, and ‘Vending Machine’, which were previously only available online.
