Montreal formed funky R&B soul outfit Busty and the Bass have some great tracks behind them already, on par with works coming from the Daptone camp, with of course some recognizable reference points but on this new single one wouldn’t imagine Broken Social Scene would be on that list. Haha but yip massive feel good swells on ‘I’m Not Here’, and then the BeeGee harmonies. Fab stuff. The B&B are at the Great Hall in TO Feb 15/16 2025.
