Folk singer Mary Garnett Edwards of North Vancouver has released her new single ‘Boneyard’ from her EP ‘Madhouse’ and its just wonderful for those of us who dig the Blackgrass or those who may call it Dark Folk, or Weird Folk. Edwards started singing at ten but released her debut album in 2020 at the age of 63. Her voice is a level between the yodel of a night owl and the edge of cracking tree bark plus a stellar band backing up. I can listen to this gothic Canadiana all night and I’d add ‘Boneyard’ to the playlist. Oh yah man all night.
