Aysanabee releases two singles, plays Oshawa Convergence Sept 20

Will McGuirk March 19, 2025

By Will McGuirk

Two-time JUNO award-winning alternative indie artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer-songwriter., Aysanabee has released a couple of new tracks from his upcoming album ‘Edge of the Earth’ out June 20, 2025 on Ishkōdé Records. The singles are ‘We Were Here’ and ‘Without You’, two powerful anthemic numbers, all goosebumping and hair raising spiritual numbers, resonating into the realms of reconciliation perhaps or just raising voice because we are here. Aysanabee is Oji-Cree from the Sucker Clan of Sandy Lake First Nation, a remote fly-in community in Northwestern Ontario. He was the first Indigenous artist to win JUNO Awards for both Alternative Album of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, that was for his EP Here and Now. Aysanabee is co-headlining the Oshawa’s Convergence Festival this year.
