Live Loud concert features many Durham Region acts

The Live Loud concert supporting mental health and substance abuse takes place Sept 10 2026 at Massey Hall. The concert is presented by Matthew Perry House & Make Music Matter and will be hosted by Lauren Ash and Bruce McCulloch with proceeds from ticket sales going to support mental health and addiction recovery initiatives. This is the second concert, the initial featured Hank Azaria, City and Colour, as well as Serena Ryder.

The concert features many artists from the D-Rock, among them Cone and Brownsound of Sum 41, producer Hill Kourkoutis, prog rock duo Crown Lands as well the Strumbellas which includes Oshawa raised Dave Ritter.

Sum 41 were recently announced as the 2026 recipients of the DREAMS Hall of Fame award. They also were honoured this year with a Lifetime Achievement award by the JUNOS.

Multi-discipline producer/ artist Hill Kourkoutis made history in 2022 as the first woman to win the JUNO for Recording Engineer of the Year.

Crown Lands have announced a string of tour dates including a hometown date at the Biltmore Theatre Nov. 6 in support of their latest album ‘Apocalypse’.

Keyboardist Dave Ritter is a founding member of The Strumbellas known for their Billboard chart topping single ‘Spirits’.

Others performing include Aysanabee, Bif Naked, Fefe Dobson, Maestro Fresh Wes & Michie Mee, Julian Taylor, and Todd Morse of The Offspring.
