Thrash fights crooner pop, Glasgow's Spinning Coin show both sides now on single 'Sleepless'

Will McGuirk September 7, 2017

There’s a darkness on the edge of this bright jangly track from the Scottish Spinning Coin off their debut, Permo, out Nov. 10 2017 on Geographic, somewhat in the manner of early Factory Records output - but I can’t put my finger quite on it, maybe I can’t put my finger on it because I have been pulling them off- eh The Wendys - and Spinning Coin may just about how to thrash the crap out of beauty pop, a little Jesus and Mary Chain, a little Altered Images.
