"My Home My Heart" from Manitoba based Little Miss Higgins is a downhome homage to her life in the wilds with her family. Its the kind of small song you would find in Julie Doiron and Sarah Harmer and the in Carol Shield's writings but as with those ladies Little Miss Higgins takes the smallness and makes it big big and bigger until the love expressed in the work wraps us all. Beauty track and it has the hand of Scott Nolan on it so there's that too. The track is the titular of Higgin's album coming out Oct 6 2017.
