The Small Glories to debut Wondrous Traveler

Will McGuirk January 14, 2016

Winnipeg bluegrass duo The Small Glories will release their debut album on Feb 19 2016. The ten track recording was produced by Neil Osbourne of 54-40. Cara Luft and JD Roberts have released the first single "Had I Paid" but they also cover Guthrie's Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key on the album so I've included their performance from the Gilmour Street Hall in Peterborough Ont. Check them out if they come to your town, they are on tour in England but have Western Canada dates for February.

Folk powerhouse pair The Small Glories are Cara Luft and JD Edwards, a dynamic new duo planted on the Canadian Prairies. At first glance few would peg them for a highly creative musical partnership. Yet these two veteran singer/songwriters have teamed up and are already building a buzz around their tight harmonies, authenticity and visceral performances.

Cara Luft and JD Edwards - together they are the Small Glories - with energy to burn in this performance of Way Over Yonder in a Minor Key (lyrics written by Woodie Guthie, music by Billy Bragg). Performed to a delighted audience at the Gilmour Street Music Hall in Peterborough, Ontario in April 2015.
