There will be a lot of you, so lean into the excitement and not the exasperation of not getting a parking spot close enough. As Country star Lee Brice would sing, “Remember, everyone is somebody’s son, is somebody’s daughter.”

For birdwatchers in Oshawa, the Spring migration is the harbinger of better weather. Thousands of birds of all kinds fly over Oshawa on their way north. The city’s lakeshore is a vital recharge stopover after the long flight across the expanse of Lake Ontario. Thousands of birders, too, will flock to the lakefront along Second Marsh and Thickson Woods, binoculars focused, notebooks unbound, to catch even a glimpse of their feathered holy grails.

Patrons of the Regent Theatre are in for a double treat this weekend. On Saturday, April 22, 2023, there is a tribute to the great singer/songwriter team Simon and Garfunkel. On Sunday, April 23, one-half of Canada’s fave singer/songwriter team Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo, brings his band to the storied venue. I’m not saying anything, but the other half does live nearby, as in Greg Keelor, recent recipient of the 2022 OMAs Lifetime Achievement and Hall of Fame awards. I’m not saying anything, but if your bestie was in your area, you could imagine a visit. Anyway, I’m not saying anything.
